12th Annual Members' Show

The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts (FMoPA) puts members in the spotlight at its 12th Annual Members' Show. The exhibition opens Sunday, July 8, 2012 with a reception from 5 - 7 p.m., and runs through August 5, 2012.

The 12th Annual Members' Show is open to more than 800 FMoPA museum members and is a wonderful opportunity for members to showcase their passion for photography. The Annual Members' Show originated in 2001 and has continued to grow in popularity and submissions. Both amateur and professional photographers worldwide are welcome to enter this year's exhibition at a nominal membership and entry fee. Organized by Amy Pezzicara, Members' Show Chair, FMoPA has created an intriguing show that honors the talents of its members.

This year's categories are:  Architecture, Documentary, Conceptual, Creative Mediums, Landscape/Nature, Portraiture, and Travel.  Our Digital category makes it easy for entrants outside of the Tampa area to submit their work.  Three distinguished judges choose a Best of Show, individual winners for each category, and honorable mentions.  Members vote for the Members' Choice Award during the opening reception.  Winners receive cash and prizes and all entrants have the opportunity to sell their works.

Judges for the exhibition are Pierre Dutertre, an educator and fine art photographer; Todd Smith, executive director of the Tampa Museum of Art; and Megan Voeller, visual art critic for Creative Loafing.
