The goal of the New Hudson Exit is to promote new art by emerging artists in the Great Lakes region of the United States. We do this by creating virtual galleries where artists can display a representative sample of their work and then publicize the galleries through targeted advertisements and search engine optimization technology.
Art at New Hudson Exit is broadly defined. Here you will find objets d'art typical of a contemporary art gallery that range from paintings to photography to multi-media. We also reserve space for prose and poetry works. All are welcome; all are great art.
We display selected work for 60 days. Our goal is to display as many works as we can but we do not want to become merely an Internet catalog with hundreds of photos of art that few people will ever look at. We want to maximize exposure by focusing on a limited number of artists and works at any one time.
We adopted the model of an actual gallery as our display approach. The first floor of the gallery is has traditional fixed gallery spaces for different kinds of media. It also has space for themed exhibitions that we curate from time to time.
Every 60 days we display 60 art works by no more than 15 artists selected by our curators. We superbly display the works in our virtual gallery. These works are then promoted to art houses, selected buyers and reviewers through direct contacts and trade channels. Additionally, we use search engine optimization technology to maximize exposure through Google, Bing, etc.
We do not charge any commissions for our work. We will link prospective collectors to an artist and assist in advocating a sales as much as possible.
