ART IN THE PASS INVITES ARTISTS TO APPLY FOR
PASS CHRISTIAN EVENT APRIL 6-7, 2013

Two-day outdoor fine arts festival that celebrates and promotes fine arts in the community! Over 75 artists from across the United States display and sell their work to the public, children activities, food, a silent auction and live entertainment! Don't miss out ton this outstanding event that continues to grow yearly! Proceeds from the silent auction benefit the Dot Hector Memorial Art Scholarship and other art related programs.
Applicants are juried to find a group of talented artists in a variety of mediums including painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, pottery, fiber arts, glass arts, woodworking and jewelry. Deadline for applications is December 31, 2012; artists will be notified by January 31, 2013.
Art in the Pass Introduces New Category for Emerging Artists
Pass Christian, Miss., November 7, 2012 – Art in the Pass today announced that applications for artists to participate in the 16th annual Art in the Pass fine arts and crafts show are now available on line at www.artinthepass.com. The event is scheduled for April 6-7, 2013 in War Memorial Park in Pass Christian, Miss.
In an effort to support new artists who are just starting to sell their creations, the event organizers also introduced a new category for Emerging Artists. Criteria for this new group include:
• Applicants must be more than 18 years old, and
• Applicants must have never sold their art in an art gallery or have been represented by an art gallery.
Award will be given for Best Emerging Artist.
Only established artists will be eligible for awards for Best in Show, Best in Category and Runner-up in Category.
Fees for applying are $25 for the jury fee for established artists and $10 for emerging artists. Booth fees will be $125 for established artists and $50 for emerging artists.
Two checks are required with the application; the booth fee will be returned if the application is denied.
