SHOW DATES: April 2 to 27th, 2013
Opening reception (Open to the public) April 5th 6-8pm


All artwork must be original in concept, design and execution.


This is a juried exhibition for artists working in 2D or 3D media in the following mediums:  Abstraction, Acrylics, Art Quilting, Assemblage, Batik, Ceramics, Collage, Colored pencils, Digital fine art, Drawing, Egg Tempera, Fiber Arts, Glass, Gouache, Graphite, Ink, Jewelry, Metalwork’s, Marbling, Monotype, Mosaic, Needle Arts, Oils, Oil pastels, Origami, Papermaking, Pastels, Photography, Portraits, Pottery, Prints, Sculpture, Stained Glass, Watercolors, Weaving
DEADLINE: The entry deadline is February 28th 2013, Submit “paid” Entry Form by this date to qualify for cash prizes. @
Finished Artwork is due in to the studio by March 15th 2013, **Late arrivals if approved are at the discretion of General Manager only and will not qualify for cash prizes

ELIGIBILITY AND RESTRICTIONS: The competition is open to all artists, national and international. All forms of painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, graphics, digital and installation art are eligible. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Wall mounted works must not be taller than 72” no wider than 72”.  Larger sculptural work must fit through a standard height, 36"wide entry door, must be stable and moved in and out by the artist.


****Artwork will not be accepted if undesirable quality or nature is an issue! All artwork must be sales ready for display with wire hanger attached if not a table or floor item, no loose pieces, falling off attachments, or sharp edges will be accepted. Keep in mind we are a child friendly art studio.
EXHIBITION AND AWARDS:  Accepted works by artists will be featured in a group exhibition at Studio 1219. Some exhibition pieces will also be displayed on the Studio 1219 web site. There will be cash prizes awarded to the top three artworks selected by the selected show juror.
EXHIBITION TERMS: All works in the show must be for sale. The gallery will take a 30 percent commission on all sales. Artwork retail price is determined by the artist upon entry. 
ENTRY FEES:  There is a $20.00 entry fee for one to two artworks entered and $10 for each additional artwork. Payments by credit card at time of entry form submission using PayPal, or check or money order payable to Studio 1219 Submissions entry fee will not be refunded.
IMAGE USE / COPYRIGHTS:  By entering the competition, artists selected to exhibit grant Studio 1219 rights to use entered artwork image(s) on printed materials and on the gallery web site, Facebook and twitter acct, for promotional purposes only. Studio 1219 retains no copyrights to artists work. 
NOTIFICATION of non acceptance:  Artists will be notified of non-acceptance via email provided on entry form with reason and item or items will then be returned in pre-paid packaging provided by the artist as staff time permits. 
PRIVACY POLICY: Artist contact information (address, telephone, etc.) is only held for the purpose of contacting artists if needed. All artist emails will be added to our future events announcement email list.  Artists who do not wish to be on the email list may unsubscribe when they receive their notification.
RETURN OF MATERIALS:  Artists who enter via postal mail and who want their materials returned must include a Self-Addressed-Stamped-Envelope (SASE) with sufficient US postage included for the return of materials. Ensure that your materials fit easily inside your return envelope or box. Materials submitted without the SASE will be considered disposable. Unsold artwork will be returned as staff time permits.
