Determining what one believes and then taking a stand for that belief is one of the hardest things in life to do. It’s often easier to know your stance against societal issues, yet not as easy to figure out your stance when it comes to more personal issues, especially when it comes to matters of the heart. When we manage to canvass the depths of our souls, we find new life and new perspectives as we learn to take a stand. By taking a stand, we not only benefit ourselves, but we become trailblazers for those around us. It only takes one person to change the world, and perhaps you are the one to change the world around you. What are your beliefs? What do you value? How do you desire to be treated? What are the things that are important to you?
Canvass is an intimate fundraising art exhibition and gala featuring artists from around the country. Artists are encouraged to submit works of art for the Canvass exhibition that explore a personal issue on which they are taking a stand for the betterment of their lives.
