Strength of body and/or mind (which includes personality, will, character, etc.) has long been portrayed by past cultures according to their ideals. For this call for entries, we are looking for both the metaphorical and literal interpretations of strength as it appears to you or what our present culture holds up as the ideal.
All international artists, professional and amateur and all art mediums will be considered in this call for entries from photography to wall sculpture, fabric, mixed media, all paintings and drawings including, oil, acrylic, pastels, ink, graphite, etc. Work must be able to be hung on a wall to be considered. Be sure to include a link if you are submitting a video submission. Free standing sculptures are only being considered for online shows at this time.
Accepted entries for this online exhibition will be judged again for a collective live exhibition at our Pasadena Gallery in the coming months. The artists will be asked if they wish to submit their artwork for the live collective exhibition, which is not a requirement to being a part of the online exhibition.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: June 24, 2013
Cost: $35 for 3 entries, $5 for additional entries.
