With social media and technology we are able to stay connected with anyone of our choosing within seconds. We have a variety of convenient transportation options which allow us to travel wherever we desire. The development of the internet and the speed in which we can receive and deliver information keeps us tied together and constantly aware. Life is just easier to manage and we are all better off right?
For this call for entries we are asking the question if we really are better in a world of ever changing technology and constant upgrades. Are we more connected with the world and the people in it or are we more disconnected than ever? Show us how modern communication has changed our lives.
All international artists, professional and amateur and all art mediums will be considered in this call for submissions, from photography, wall sculpture, fabric, mixed media, all paintings and drawings including, oil, acrylic, pastels, ink, graphite, etc. Work must be able to be hung on a wall to be considered for the live exhibition, however 3D artworks will only be displayed online. Sizes up to 12 feet are acceptable. We are now accepting video and poetry entries for both live and online shows.
Accepted artwork for this online exhibition will be judged again for a collective live exhibition at our Pasadena Gallery set for April 2014 . The artists will be asked if they wish to submit their artwork for the collective exhibition, which is not a requirement to being a part of the online exhibition. DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: January 6, 2014.
Cost: $35 for 3 entries, $5 for additional entries.
