Call For Entries: Lost World/Found World at the D?SHI Gallery (January – June, 2014)
In the abstract, artists have long delighted in the “lost and found,” whether it is through a line, color, or a concept. Any object closely observed can be a portal. This theme may be interpreted in a variety of ways, from abstract to representational. Exodus and evacuation, whether caused by catastrophic events, climate change, the aggression of despots, or exercises of free will all come under this relevant umbrella. Alternately, it can be associated with arrival, awakening, and beholding a new reality. Seek out the lost, and show us what you find. . .
Lost World/Found World will be a juried exhibition on view from January – June 2014. (Exact dates are still to be finalized.) During the Susquehanna Art Museum’s transitional period into our new location in the heart of Midtown, Harrisburg, the D?SHI Gallery is holding special exhibitions at The State Museum of Pennsylvania.
