The40th annual Art in the Park at Omak Civic League Park sponsored by Omak Kiwanis and Artists’ of the Okanogan. On Friday June13th & Saturday June 14th, Art in the Park at Omak Civic League Park will showcase the best contemporary fine art and craft from around the Pacific Northwest. Approximately 100 artists will fill Civic League Park, downtown Omak’s premiere outdoor venue with an outdoor art exhibition that has been a community event for 40 years with an average of 1000 visitors in attendance. Artists are selected on the basis of quality, originality, and craftsmanship by a panel of jurors. We are looking forward to an incredible show. This year, Art in the Park Omak will be partnering with Omak’s 4th Annual Paint the Town event.
POLICIES: THIS IS A JURIED SHOW. All vendors must submit a photograph of their crafts or art work with their application and fee (photo will be returned during the show). Please, no flea market items. All items, must be made and sold by craft person/artist. Booth space is not transferable. Space may not be shared unless approved beforehand. Booths/displays must remain set up for the entire show.
All food vendors must provide proof of liability insurance, health permits and meet all state and local health regulations. All documentation must be submitted with your application.
If, the opinion of the sponsors, there are too many applications in one category, excess applications in that category will be refused. The show will strive to maintain a balance of competition. Space limitations may also be basis for refusal.
It is mandatory that you provide us a copy of your business license of proof of your resale tax identification.
ENTRY FEE: The entry fee is $35.00 for Art/craft booths and $50.00 for food vendors PER EACH 12 X 12 BOOTH SPACE. Please donate one item for the drawing. Drawings will be held, hourly or more, depending on the number of donated articles. No commission will be taken.
BOOTH SPACE: Pre-assigned 12’ x 12’ spaces will be provided in the park area and may vary in location from year to year. Double Booth spaces are allowed. Approximately 75 spaces are available. Supply your own booth. Artists must maintain neat booth spaces. Extra boxes, packing materials, etc. should be kept out of public view. Electricity is limited and is provided for creative educational demonstrations, and is assigned at the discretion of the Director. Electrical outdoor extension cords must be supplied by Artist. Active demonstrations without electricity are encouraged. Spaces assignment is based on previous attendance and/or early entry. Shade is limited, be prepared for 100 degree temperatures.
SET UP may begin on Thursday June 12th from 6PM- 9PM and Friday June 13 6AM- 10AM. Vendors will be allowed to unload from Ash Street but then must move their vehicle off of Ash Street as it will be closed for the event.
ADVERTISING: Sponsors of Art in the Park will be advertising the event on social media, newspapers, posters and radio. Vendors who would like to provide a link to their websites, Facebook pages, logos, and business cards etc.to be used in the promotion of the event, please send along with the registration form or email to firstname.lastname@example.org. SECURITY: Sponsors of Art in the Park will be onsite during setup and the whole event as well as providing additional security for the vendors during the overnight hours of Thursday June 12 Friday June 13.The Okanogan County Sheriff’s Posse will be onsite during the hours of 9pm to 6am patrolling the grounds of the park to ensure the safety of vendors and vendors booths. The sponsors are not responsible for any theft or damage.

We've compiled a list to make it a bit easier to find the accommodations that fit your needs best. Many of the area hotels are offering discounted rates to Art in the Park vendors. DEMOSTRATIONS: The sponsors of Art in the Park encourage and welcome Artisan’s and Craftsperson’s to participate in demonstrations of your art and or craft while at your booth.
“CHAIR”-ity Fundraiser: Artistically designed chairs are being sought after by Omak Kiwanis Art in the Park event for the “chair”-ity fundraiser. Community members, businesses, schools, students and organizations can participate by bringing a pre-decorative chair to be dropped off on Friday June 13th from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. or Saturday June 14th no later than noon to be displayed at the event. Your name and information will be placed on the chair when you sign up for the chair to participate in the auction. The chair has to be wood, metal, or plastic. The chairs are not supplied. Any medium is welcome such as paint, ceramic, metal, print making, mix medium collage, or use your imagination. A live auction will begin at 4:30 p.m. Saturday June 14th. Funds raised during the “chair”-ity auction will benefit youth programs in the community served by Omak Kiwanis.
PARKING: Participants are asked to not park their vehicles on Ash and Central Streets in order to provide parking for the customers. Ash Street will be closed on Saturday during the event for the "Chair"-ity Fundraiser. Central Street will be closed to accommodate the Omak Battleground 3 0n 3 basketball tournament. Failure to comply with parking rules may result in vehicle being towed at owner’s expense.
