Grand Opening
Description
Don’t miss this opportunity to have your work displayed at this milestone event, the Grand Opening of the historic and recently renovated building of the Pacific Art League! The Grand Opening Exhibition is open to anyone who would like to support this unique art association that has thrived since 1921. We will accept art until we reach capacity. This exhibit will be widely publicized and award winners will be displayed prominently! 
 
ELIGIBILITY:
Open to all media except installation.

Saturday, September 13th, 1:00-4:00 pm
 
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 
Monday, August 25th
 
AWARDS: 
1st: $1,000, 2nd: $500, 3rd: $250; 3 Honorable Mentions and 1 People’s Choice Award. Winners will be announced at the First Friday reception, September 5th.
 
JURORS:
Three professional artists to be announced. Please see www.pacificartleague.org for more information.
 
HAND DELIVER ACCEPTED WORK:
Friday, August 29th and Saturday, August 30th. All work must be hand delivered to the Pacific Art League. No shipped work will be accepted.
 
PICK UP WORK: 
September 27th, 10:00 am-4:00 pm
 
SUBMISSION PROCESS:
Electronically: Submit work by August 25th at
www.OnlineJuriedShows.com. Format images in TIFF, BMP, JPG, or PNG format, no less than 800 pixels long. A tutorial is online on the How OJS Works page. In Person: Fill out the Grand Opening Exhibition form available at the Pacific Art League front desk and attach it to a photo of the work with your donation payment. Please provide all required information, including size of piece. Deliveries will be accepted at the front desk Monday, July 21st - Monday, August 25th during office hours, 9:30 am5:00 pm
 
ENTRY FEE AND PAYMENT:A $100 donation to the Pacific Art League for one piece of art. Donations will support the Pacific Art League’s new initiative for children called STEAM which will include Science, Technology, Engineering the ARTS and Math. It will also add to our ArtEssentials campaign to provide needed equipment such as projectors, AppleTV and other items for the newly renovated building. The Pacific Art League is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, public benefit organization (Tax I.D. 94-6096 394) and your contribution is tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
 
CHILDREN’S GALLERY: 
Work by artists under 18 years old welcome. Parents, grandparents, or friends may submit work on behalf of minors with a $100 donation. Please note on the art if it has been created by a young artist and follow the submission guidelines listed above. 
 
EXHIBITION GUIDELINES:
- Open to all artists in the Pacific Region. Later entries will be notified if galleries are full. 
- All work must be for sale. PAL members receive 70% 
commission, non-members receive 60% commission. 
- Size of work limited to 30” on the longest side 
including frame.
- All work must be ready to frame with proper 
hanging device.
- All work must be labeled on front and back with: 
 artist’s name, title, medium, size, and price.
- Only original art will be accepted.
- The Pacific Art League reserves the right to choose 
appropriate art for this exhibition.
