The Center for the Arts Evergreen presents Exploration of a Medium - Mixed Media: 2D, 3D, and the Kitchen Sink. CAE is inviting artists to submit artworks of mixed media to be considered for entry in this show. Pieces submitted should clearly be a mixture of at least more than one traditionally distinct visual art media. Common media combinations include paint, graphite, textiles, or sculpture; however, all media for this show will be accepted, including found objects used with traditional art mediums. All content, concepts, and subject matters are submissible. Dan Jacobs, Director of the Myhren Art Gallery will jury the exhibition.

The Center for the Arts Evergreen supports Evergreen and its surrounding communities in the visual and performing arts. CAE hosts classes and workshops for all ages and abilities and coordinates a variety of month-long exhibitions throughout the year, as well as two major summer and winter art festivals, Summerfest and Winterfest. CAE provides grants to local art teachers, hosts biweekly lunchtime lectures and presentations, and offers special programming for adults with developmental disabilities.

o All artwork must have been completed in the last 2 years
o Artists must complete and submit the enclosed entry form
o Artists must submit up to 3 images of the artwork that they wish to be considered for the show in one of the following formats
o Artists must include an entry fee of $35 for non members ($25 for CAE members) with submission
o If the artist requires that a CD if images be returned to them, please include a SASE large enough and with adequate postage
o There is no limitation on size; however, all artwork must be for sale. CAE will retain a 40% commission on any artwork sold during the exhibition. Chosen work must be ready to display or hang with appropriate hardware or display materials.
The juror will select several artworks for awards and ribbons will be presented at the Opening Reception on May 8, 2015, 4-7pm.
Liability and Insurance
The Center for the Arts Evergreen will provide insurance based on evidence of fair market value on items that are in the gallery.
Entry Deadline: Monday, March 23, 2015 (if mailing a cd, it must arrive by this date)
Acceptance notification date (by email): Monday, April 6, 2015

Saturday, May 2, 12pm-5pm (if artwork is being shipped, it must arrive by this date)
Opening Reception: Friday, May 8, 4-7pm
Exhibition dates: Friday, May 8 – Friday, June 5, 2015
Artwork pick-up dates:
Friday, June 5, 12pm-5pm
Saturday, June 6, 12pm-5pm
Return shipment of artwork: shipped by Wednesday, June 10
*If you cannot make artwork delivery or pick-up dates, alternative arrangements must be made beforehand by calling or emailing the curator.
