The Oklahoma Art Guild (OAG) announces a Call for Entry to “Oklahoma Friendly 2011”, a national juried show. This show invites a variety of media and styles that exemplify the friendly nature of our state. Submissions are open to all artists nationwide above the age of 18, members or non-members of OAG. Entered pieces must be original, completed within the past two years, not previously entered in an OAG show, and created outside of the art direction of a workshop or school. All entries must be for sale. All 2- and 3-dimensional media will be considered. Over $4,000 in cash, purchase, and artistic awards will be selected by our 2011 Award Curator, Nancy P. Anderson of the Leslie Powell Gallery and Foundation in Lawton, OK. The jury panel will divide the submissions into categories of Friendly Faces (figures), Tornado Alley (abstracts), Big Sky (landscapes), Wild Frontier (cityscapes and wildlife), and Landmarks (sculptures). Four art professionals will serve as the jury panel.
