Passport Projects in collaboration with Index Art Center and Submergedart, present an unique opportunity to exhibit their work at The Pavilion during Art Basel Miami in 2012

 

Passport Projects announces an open call for artists to submit their artwork for consideration for the Pavilion in Miami FL. Passport Project will present five artists from the submission process at a preview exhibition to take place at Submergedart gallery during Open Doors in October of 2011. These artistswill be shown with featured artists selected by the Passport Projects curatorial team. Two artists will then be selected as finalists by a jury of  independent judges in the arts industry to participate in the Pavilion exhibition at Art Miami Basel 2012.

 

Passport Projects will provide artists with an opportunity to exhibit your work to the public, gallery directors, curators and collectors that they might discover your compelling works. This is a great opportunity for emerging and established artists to present your artwork. Passport Projects will also advertise and promote the selected artist for the exhibition. Passport Projects invites emerging and established artists to submit artwork for this unique opportunity to present their work at the Passport Pavilion during Art Basel Miami 2012.

- Passport Projects charges 50% commission on all artwork sold during exhibitions.

 

Eligible Work

The exhibition is open to all visual artists in all mediums, for works that have been completed in the past 2 years. Artists must be 18 years or older and reside in the United States. Each artist may enter 5 original pieces for consideration. Only one digital image can be submitted for each work of art, except for sculpture or installation where 2 views of each submission are allowed. 2-Dimensional works may not exceed 100” in height by 100” in width (excluding the frame) and must be “show ready,” – totally ready for hanging. Three-dimensional works must not exceed 7' in height, nor cover more than 50 square feet of floor area, or weigh more than 300 lbs. Installations are welcome but must not exceed 100 square feet of floor space. Accepted artworks cannot be substituted and are committed for the duration of the exhibit. No artwork shall be returned after installation until the final exhibition date, and artwork will be returned only to the original location and lender or his/her authorized agent on the date(s) stated herein. Passport Projects reserves the right to rejected any accepted works that we feel differ significantly from the submitted image. Passport Projects also reserves the right to reproduced exhibited artwork for all media and publications. Artist are responsible for delivery/pickup of selected works to Index Art Center, Newark NJ. Passport Projects will cover the cost and insurance for transportation of selected work to the Pavilion in Miami FL.
