Artists, are you MODERN?

How do you interpret Modernism?  Is your work an homage to the past or a continuation of those ideas?  Do you gain inspiration from the Googie styles of the 1950’s, or the sleek lines of Le Courbousier?

This is your chance to have your work seen by over 3000 Modernism lovers, who will be coming ready to shop at the Denver Modernism Show!  We accept art in any medium as long as it fits the show …. Abstract art, realism and more will be considered.   Best in Show (to be determined by juror) will win a $200 prize!

Our esteemed Guest Jurors are Hugh Grant, Director of the Kirkland Museum

Highland Park Arts Fest

This outdoor, juried art show will showcase fine arts and crafts from a wide regional area, and highlight a defining quality of Highland Park as a creative, multi-cultural, dynamic community. This cultural festival will draw crowds of local residents and visitors from Highland Park and the Central Jersey region, in support of our organizations’ mutual goals.

This fourth annual event, scheduled for Sunday, September 21, 2008, will build on our existing event management experience. Arts in the Park will present the best of our town: the arts, entertainment, dining, shopping and education available here in Highland Park. The multi-layered festivities will keep the crowds entertained as they experience all that Highland Park has to offer in the arts, while exploring our town as a shopping and dining destination. Raritan Avenue, the core of Highland Park’s downtown district, will be closed to traffic to serve as the event’s primary location.

The main attraction of The Arts in the Park will be the juried show, highlighting Highland Park’s many local artists as well as others.
